Increase Your Mic Volume On Hyperx Cloud 2

Hey everyone, this is Ashish from Tech Parle, and today I’m going to tell you how to Increase Your Mic Volume On Hyperx Cloud 2. Now there is a step that you need to do regardless if you’re going to use this for the PC or PS4, and I’m going to show you precisely what to do.

After that step, I will show you a method that is only for the PC, which involves two add-on apps that can make your microphones super freak in loud. After the technique that involves the two add on apps for your PC, I’m going to show you how to connect these to the PS4 and use your 7.1 surround sound.

And I’m sorry, Xbox, but you are left with a regular manual aux cord into the controller method. So let’s start with the first thing that you need to do. And for that, you need to download the firmware updater app from HyperX.

Download it and come back. Once you have downloaded the firmware updater app, start it and connect the sound card of your HyperX Cloud 2 into the USB port and connect the HyperX Cloud 2 into the sound card.

So if you are not, click Update; it will take about a minute or two here, and then it will be the new firmware version. If you plan to use your HyperX on PC mostly, you want to go to Control Panel. Then you want to go to Hardware and Sound.

In Sound click, Manage audio devices. And in here, you want to make sure that the headphones are the default device. So under the playback tab right here, you’ll see that this is the default device, and under Recordings, this is also the default device.

If it’s not the default device, you basically, you can come right click on the headphones themselves, and you click Set as Default Device. Now, if you want to raise the microphone level on your HyperX Cloud 2, double click the headphones while in the recording tab, go to Levels.

Right now, they are about 100. However, the default is 75. This is how I sound on 100. But once you update the headphones, it’s going to be about 75. So let me show you how it sounds on 75. This is how it sounds on 75. It’s kind of low in my opinion; many people told me that they could not hear me very well in the chat room.

So I brought it back up to 100. If you want to take your microphone to the next level, let me show you what to do next. So in the description below, you’ll find download links for two softwares. One is the leading software, and the other one is an add on. It’s called Equalizer APO. And the add on is called Peace Setup.

And when it gets to this point, have your headphones already connected before you start the setup. And on playback devices, you want to mark headset headphones HyperX Virtual Surround Sound. And then on capture devices, you also want to have headset microphone HyperX Surround Sound, and then click OK.

The dialog cannot be opened; this is OK. You click OK, after, and then it will ask you to restart your computer. I’m going to continue and come back to the video; you should do that as well. OK, so after you have installed the Equalizer APO and restart your computer, go and install the Peace set up a double click, it will ask you something, click yes.

Once this opens, click a simple interface. All right, when it opens up, it will be on all devices right here.

You want to switch it up to a headset microphone. And now, this is where things get loud. So I suggest that you adjust your speakers right now, but let me show you the slider that is right here. If you see, it goes from minus30 decibels to 30 decibels. Right now, I’m on zero.

This is how I sound on zero. Let me show you how it sounds on 10. This is how it sounds on 10. I play in 15. So let me show you how it sounds on 15. This is how it sounds on 15, and I do not recommend that you go over 25 unless you want people’s ears to bleed, but I’ll show you anyway.

So now, let’s move on to the PS4, and I’ll show you what to do. Once you’ve connected the sound card, go to Settings. Go to Devices, audio devices, and then you’ll see USB Headset HyperX Virtual Surround Sound, make sure that output to headphones is all audio.
